Collagen, a protein of the connective tissue, is responsible for the skin’s plumpness and elasticity. With the passage of the years, its fibres become more fragile and are lost, so it is necessary to make up for this lack with synthetic products that stimulate their synthesis and restore the skin’s plumpness, fill wrinkles and fight against ageing of the skin.
Elastin, as hydrolysed elastin, is able to recover the skin’s elasticity and flexibility and combat its slackness.
Finally, coenzyme Q10 is known for its antioxidant properties. Its continuous application is able to repair skin damage and attenuate the deterioration of collagen. As a result, the skin is strengthened and existing expression lines and wrinkles are reduced.

Like the other products of the BCN Cocktails line, it can be mixed with other ingredients of the BCN Classics range, to adapt them to each skin type. Collagen is a protein that forms part of the dermal connective tissue and its function is to provide the skin with plumpness and elasticity. With the passage of the years, these fibres become more fragile and become smaller in diameter, resulting in a lack of elasticity and firmness in the skin. This is why the majority of cosmetics aim to regenerate this protein, in order to improve the skin: filling lines and wrinkles and reducing scars or any other structural dysfunction.
Elastin possesses a long chain of amino acids in which there are many sequences with hydrophobic amino acids, separated by other sequences that contain pairs of glycines and other small amino acids, such as lysine. It is this chain of hydrophobic amino acids that gives it its elastic properties, since it allows an arrangement into coiled structures, and lysine participates in the formation of helices, which are the points at which adjacent elastin molecules link together.
These two components, present in the product in hydrolysed form, are able to replace the effects of natural collagen and elastin which are gradually lost with age and they therefore maintain the elasticity characteristic of young skins.
Finally, coenzyme Q10, also known as ubiquinone, is known for its antioxidant properties and ability to inhibit the cell destruction caused by free radicals.
