Elastin has a long chain of amino acids in which there are numerous sequences with hydrophobic amino acids, separated by other sequences that contain pairs of glycines and other small amino acids such as lysine. This chain of hydrophobic amino acids is what gives it its elastic properties, since it allows it to be arranged in coiled structures.
Collagen is a protein that is part of the dermal connective tissue and its function is to provide turgidity and elasticity to the skin.
Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone, is known for its antioxidant and inhibitory properties against cell destruction caused by free radicals. Its continuous application manages to repair the deterioration that these harmful elements cause in the skin and slow down the degradation of dermal collagen.
