ACNE
ACNE IS A SKIN DISORDER INVOLVING THE PILOSEBACEOUS UNITS.
It is characterized by the formation of comedones, papules (pimples), pustules (pimples of pus) and, sometimes, nodules and cysts (deep pimples) that appear usually on the face and upper body, although they are also located on buttocks and thighs.
Acne occurs as a consequence of several factors: alteration in the keratinization of the hair follicle; overproduction of sebum and the overgrowth of the propionibacterium acnes microorganism, among other causes.
