It can also be indicated for cases of vitamin H deficiency, which could cause skin problems such as dermatitis, alopecia (hair loss) and achromotrichia (absence or loss of pigment in the hair).
Treatments:
Biotin, also known as vitamin H, is a water-soluble B complex vitamin, necessary for cell growth, the production of fatty acids, and the metabolism of fats and amino acids.
It also influences the composition of keratin and promotes the formation of intercellular lipid layers by increased lipid synthesis, improving the skin’s natural barrier function.
