It is an essential product for any facial hygiene ritual as it removes impurities and toxins. In addition, it promotes desquamation and facilitates the regeneration of the outermost layers of the epidermis.
Treatments
BCN Scrub’s formula combines alumina microcrystals with lactic acid and a bio-enzymatic extract for a more complete exfoliation.
Alumina acts in the mechanical removal of corneocytes by the physical action of microdermabrasion.
Lactic acid (AHA) generates a mild chemical exfoliation with reduced irritation and is a bioenzymatic exfoliant that mimics the activity of the Cathepsin D protease – the most important endogenous enzyme in the skin desquamation process – that breaks the specific cell-cell interactions of the corneocytes from the stratum corneum and produces a smooth, controlled exfoliation without side effects.
The formula’s broad-spectrum prebiotic complex supports the growth of a healthy and balanced microbiome, which translates into healthy, yet luminous skin.
Avenanthramide D and the varied blend of essential oils provide antioxidant, soothing, anti-irritant and antihistamine properties that soothe discomfort and redness in sensitive or sensitized skin.
